Naivety ---> Cynicism ---> Wisdom… Resilience
Naivety can be beautiful… And a little cruel too, at times, if we choose not to gain insights from it… Especially if we use it as an excuse to avoid the truth…(people pleasing, not having boundaries)
We see this in business… in relationships… other areas of life… Because you want something, or someone, to be what you see through your own lenses and experience… versus theirs and what it really is.
When speaking with others… when speaking to yourself… it’s important to be open-minded about your innocence, your wide-eyed sincereness in situations…
…rather than beating yourself up for feeling like you were ignorant, ill-informed or oblivious.
I’ve spoken with many defeated, broken-hearted, angry, frustrated… and extremely cynical men and women who are stuck in the hurt… And aren’t able to move into wisdom.
Meaning…
The higher the walls of protection go up… Because you don’t want to get hurt…
And some will stay in that place their whole life…
Because somewhere inside them… joy represents a form of weakness… a feeling of vulnerability that scares them…
… a feeling of letting their guard down.
The less joy you experience in life… the less you feel strong and safe in that…
And the more you give your power and internal freedom away… based on what someone said, or something that was done.
In today’s FIREPIT Resilience Warrior’s Lesson…
I thought I’d walk you through a process… to help you move from Naivety ---> Cynicism ---> into Wisdom and Resilience
